Lily Pad Lake Hike

We had lunch plans so we decided to take a shorter hike this particular day.  Lily Pad Trail is a relatively easy hike but as with each hike this one has it's own beauty.










Summit County received about half of their normal snowpack so it ws good to see these wildflowers.  These pictures show some of the beetle kill pine standing along the lake and even with the brown trees in the reflection off the water the blue sky and mountains make for a beautitul picture.

 I am so disappointed that I didn't take a photo of our friends from Grand Lake who we met for lunch in Kremmling.  We had a wonderful time with the Spike and Pat catching up with their lives.  So thankful for our more than 35 year friendship.
