It is so hard to condense 4 weeks of activity into three posts, but here I go with Part 2…. One of the highlights of our trip was going to Aspen and the Maroon Bells. We got up really early for the 2 1/2 hour trip but it was definitely worth it.
We hiked up to Crystal Lake (above).
We drove over Independence Pass on the way back to Frisco and it was such a fun drive.
Three other hikes we took were McCullough Gulch and Booth Creek Trail, both which have waterfalls toward the end of the trails and Cataract Lake Loop.
Love these hot pink wildflowers!
Alpine Lake at the top of McCullough Gulch Trail.
Steve and Mike T. were climbing all over at Booth Falls. Made me a bit nervous as we were trying to get home with no injuries.
Below is Cataract Lake Loop where we enjoyed a hike and ate lunch by the lake.
Waterfall in the distance.
Our trip to Rocky Mountain National Park was so successful. We were on a mission to see as many animals as possible.
And then Melissa and her family came to Colorado….I will post about some of the activities we enjoyed while they were visiting next.
Your photographs are BREATH-TAKING!!! Thank you so much for sharing them with us!
