After church Heather and family came by the house so that I could take some family photos while her boys were still dressed up from church. I loved the colors and was happy with the way the photos turned out. It can be difficult to get three boys to cooperate sometimes 
.
These were taken with my new lens. It focuses fast which is helpful with boys who have a hard time standing still! Actually they did a really great job and were pretty cooperative all things considered.
While James was here at Easter I had an idea for some outdoor photos. It is so much fun to see something through his eyes for the first time so we took him outside and started blowing bubbles. He loved watching the bubbles and laughed and laughed.
I love capturing moments like this…….and love those big blue eyes.
We celebrated Easter with Heather, Melissa and families. We so missed Shauna, Mark, Kylie and Andrew. Hope your equipment moving went smoothly. Friday evening we attended the Central Easter Pageant and it was so great. They do such a beautiful job of depicting the story of Christ and it draws me so close to the Lord.
On Saturday we decorated cupcakes with the kids.
The kids had their annual scavenger hunt with each clue and the respective color telling the grandkids why we celebrate Easter and a risen Savior.
And finally before we ate our Easter meal together we read Isaiah 53 and were reminded of Christ, the suffering servant, who died and rose again for our sins.

David and Melissa recently had the privilege of dedicating James to the Lord in their church before many friends and David’s parents.
Steve had to be in Washington DC presenting a research paper and I was with my mother, but this sweet family was in our thoughts and prayers.
Today I will choose to see the beauty around me.
Today I will choose to give thanks to God.
Even though I sometimes feel like I just want to fly away…..
Today, my priorities will be to be thankful and count it all joy.
Pray for my mother as she is in hospice care.

We are so excited! The Aggie Women’s Basketball team is in the final four in Indianapolis after beating the Baylor women in the regional final.
We will be watching on Sunday evening in hopes that they can beat the Stanford Cardinal. No matter what happens it is quite an accomplishment.
At David and Melissa’s church they have a Bible presentation for each new child as well as baby dedication. Steve and I are unable to come to James’ dedication because we will be in Washington DC, so we made sure we didn’t miss his Bible presentation. Here are some photos taken before we left for church.

I think it was an exciting and sobering experience for David and Melissa. What a privilege and responsibility it is to raise up a child in the way he should go. We pray that James will become a mighty man of faith!
