Another year has rolled around to October and we enjoy celebrating Kevin, Tiffany and Sheila’s birthdays with the Hodge family.

Andrew had accepted Jesus as his Savior a while back and was just waiting for the right time to be baptized. After one rained out Sunday, last Sunday was the perfect day in every way!
Right before he was baptized the pastor asked him to express what Jesus means to him and why he wanted to be baptized.
Then Mark did the baptism; a public profession of dying to our sin and being raised to new life in Christ.
We are so thankful and proud of Andrew and his decision. Our God is so faithful and good.
Steve and I recently went on our yearly trip to Iowa to visit family. Always so good to see family! Melissa and her boys travelled with us this time as many had not yet met James and Will. I did not take nearly enough pictures. I was trying to enjoy the moment so I did not have my camera with me everywhere. Anyway….here are some photos of our time in Iowa.

The leaves had not turned their fall colors but the bean fields were golden.
It was a great trip filled with fun, food and family.
Kylie is a busy girl this fall. She is playing volleyball for her middle school and continuing in club soccer as well. We went to Austin to celebrate Mark’s birthday and also to watch Kylie play. We had the most delicious pork chops at lunch with Mark, Shauna and their friends to celebrate Mark’s birthday. Following are a few photos of Kylie’s games.

James had the time of his life at the ranch with his cousins but not without some mishaps from scraped knees, bumped heads, ant bites and a severely swollen ear. James had an eventful birthday.

Poor James….you can see from this photo just how much his ear was swollen. Thankfully it did not seem to bother him much and went back to near normal by the next day.
