Happy Birthday to Steve’s Mom!

We went back to Iowa to see family and especially to celebrate Donna’s (Steve’s mom) 84th birthday.  We went to her favorite place, Hotel Pattee and restaurant for dinner with 23 other family members.  I forgot my camera and it was fairly dark inside so my iphone pictures were really bad but it is all I have, so I will share some of them here.

Donna absolutely loved the evening and spending time with her family.

Family Pictures at the Lake

We weren’t able to take the entire family because David was missing, but we were able to take photos of the grandkids and the other families.

 

There is much room for improvement with my photography but it’s more about creating memories for me……so I’m happy with these photos I have as the grandchildren grow (so fast!)

Lakehouse Weekend

One of David’s bosses has graciously allowed him to use his Lake Conroe house and invite family.  The house is beautiful and spacious and works so well for our family to meet there for a weekend.  David was invited to Argentina on a hunting trip so he was unable to come but the rest of us had a blast swimming and jet skiing!

This  mixture of pictures were taken with both my camera and iphone.  Needless to say we had the best time.  We are hoping that we might be able to make this a yearly family weekend.  Thanks again to David and his boss.

Will at Three Months

Will is such a sweet baby.  His smiles come easily and for anyone.   It is so fun to watch him grow and see his personality develop.   He will coo and “talk” to you for as long as you will talk to him.   I took photos of him during his recent visit to our house.  Here are a few photos of Will at three months.

He has beautiful blue eyes like his brother and a sweet smile all his own.

Water Play

While James was visiting last week we spent a couple of hours playing in the water.  It was really hot and it was the only way we could be outside was to include water to cool off.  James had a great time playing in the pool and spraying his mom and me.

Later that evening Steve got out the mower so that James could ride on it with him.  James had been asking to ride every time he saw his Papa.  They rode around the yard and up and down the street.

And the next morning James was asking to ride again.

Moose

The first day the Alexander's were in Colorado we went for a bike ride down Vail Pass.  Just outside of Copper Mountain we happened upon a moose in the water along the bike path.  Awesome!  We had been here a month and had not seen a moose but the Alexander's saw one the first day.
