Hamilton Pool Reserve and Reimers Ranch Park

The weekend after Christmas, Steve and I went to the Hill Country to enjoy a couple of days with the Alexanders at Hamilton Pool Preserve and Reimers Ranch Park, both which are Travis County Parks.

Even though it is winter, we were surprised by the beauty of the area.

This was the sunrise as we left College Station.

When we arrived at the Hamilton Pool Preserve we first took the hike down to the Pedernales River.

We would love to go back in the spring.  It would be spectacular.

We then went to Reimers Ranch Park and ate a picnic lunch followed by a hike down Climbers Canyon.  Meanwhile the Alexanders went for a bike ride on one of the many mountain bike trails in the park.  Mark and Kylie also rode a practice track.

This is the kind of day that Steve and I enjoy tremendously.  It was cool and great for hiking and spending time with family.

  2. Appreciating the dedication you put into your website and detailed information
you present. It's good to come across a blog every once in a while that isn't the same outdated rehashed
material. Wonderful read! I've bookmarked your site and I'm adding your RSS feeds to my Google account.

  3. I'm wondering which blogging and site-building platform you're using?
I'm new to running a blog and have been thinking about using the Quizilla platform. Do you consider this is a good foundation to start with? I would be extremely thankful if I could ask you some questions through email so I can learn a bit more prior to getting started. When you have some free time, please get in touch with me at: antje_dowd@gmail.com. Cheers

  4. First of all I would like to say superb blog!

I had a quick question that I'd like to ask if you don't
mind. I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your head prior to writing.
I've had difficulty clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out there. I do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are generally lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or tips? Thank you!
