Bird Watching

My dad first noticed these birds while on a visit in early March to our house many years ago.  They were not the usual birds we have around our house so we looked them up and found that they are cedar wax wings and apparently migrate through this area each spring.

I think they are so pretty with their black mask yellow belly and golden-tipped tails.

And if you look closely their wings have a small red tip as well.

They loved they puddles after the rain and eating the yaupon berries in the trees.

In the back yard the birds are really becoming active.  The female cardinal above and the bright red male below.

We also have some wood-peckers at the feeder and….

in the trees.

The cedar wax wings are already gone.  They were around for just a couple of days.

  3. Hello there! Do you know if they make any plugins to safeguard
against hackers? I'm kinda paranoid about losing everything I've worked hard on.
    Any recommendations?

  4. Hey there would you mind sharing which blog platform you're working with? I'm going to start
my own blog soon but I'm having a tough time selecting between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I'm looking for something unique.
P.S My apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!

  5. Very good blog! Do you have any suggestions for aspiring writers?

I'm hoping to start my own site soon but I'm a little lost on everything.
Would you suggest starting with a free platform like Wordpress
or go for a paid option? There are so many options out
there that I'm completely confused .. Any ideas? Appreciate it!

  8. Hey I know this is off topic but I was wondering if you knew
of any widgets I could add to my blog that automatically tweet
my newest twitter updates. I've been looking for a plug-in like this for quite some time and was hoping maybe you would have some experience with something like this. Please let me know if you run into anything. I truly enjoy reading your blog and I look forward to your new updates.
