Creating a Focal Wall

While in Austin last weekend Shauna and I took on a project of stenciling a wall in her master bedroom.  Neither of us had stenciled before so there was a bit of a learning curve.  But after a few hours of work we called the end result a success!

The center of the wall was no problem.

But the corners by the windows were pretty difficult.

We love projects like this but this time we were a little apprehensive that Mark would like it.   Both Mark and Steve said they were pleasantly surprised how much they liked the wall.  When Shauna and Mark tire of the wall they can simply paint over it….so much easier that dealing with wallpaper.  This geometric design goes so well with their love of modern/retro design.

  1. First of all I want to say great blog! I had a quick question in which I'd like to ask if you don't mind.
I was interested to know how you center yourself
and clear your mind before writing. I have had difficulty clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out.
I do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10
to 15 minutes are generally wasted simply just trying to
figure out how to begin. Any ideas or tips? Thanks!

  2. At this time it sounds like Expression Engine is the preferred blogging platform available right now.
(from what I've read) Is that what you are using on your blog?

  4. I know this if off topic but I'm looking into starting my own weblog and was wondering what all is needed to get set up? I'm
assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny?
I'm not very internet savvy so I'm not 100% positive. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Appreciate it

  5. Appreciating the commitment you put into your blog and in
depth information you present. It's awesome to come across a blog every once in a while that isn't the same old rehashed material.

Wonderful read! I've bookmarked your site and I'm adding
your RSS feeds to my Google account.

  6. Hello there! Do you know if they make any plugins to safeguard
against hackers? I'm kinda paranoid about losing everything I've worked hard on.
    Any tips?

  8. Surfing around digg.com I noticed your web site bookmarked as:
Blogger: From the Crouse House. Now I am assuming you bookmarked it yourself and wanted to ask if social
bookmarking gets you a large amount of targeted traffic? I've been thinking about doing some book-marking for a few of my sites but wasn't certain if
it would generate any positive results. Many thanks.
