This was our second trip to San Diego (actually Steve has been there 3-4 times) but this time we were sure to make time to tour the USS Midway Museum. It was docked just across the street from our hotel in the San Diego Bay. Below was the view from our hotel room balcony.
The tour came highly recommended and it was everything advertised and more.

I think the best thing about the tour was that the tour guides giving the lectures were all former military personnel that had worked and lived on the Midway. It was so interesting!
The carrier in the photo above is the Nimitz an active nuclear powered aircraft carrier that is docked at San Diego across the bay from the Midway.
This is the view from aboard the Midway looking toward the Coronado Bridge. If you ever visit San Diego I would recommended spending a few hours at the USS Midway Museum.
